Seven West Media is looking for a creative and data-driven Head of Digital Content & Video Production based at the Australian Technology Park in Eveleigh, Sydney. You will oversee the national production of original short-form digital video, entertainment news, behind-the-scenes streaming features on 7plus, and viral social video.

As a key member of the team at Seven West Media in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead national: Lead national digital video production squads producing hundreds of video assets weekly across news, sport, and entertainment.
• Commission and: Commission and direct digital-first original series commissioned specifically for 7plus streaming.
• Drive explosive: Drive explosive audience growth across YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Partner with: Partner with commercial sales to integrate sponsored native content seamlessly into digital video programming.
• Analyze video: Analyze video retention graphs, completion rates, and algorithmic trends to guide content programming.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Seven West Media, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Media Production, Journalism, Film, or Communications.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Degree in Media, Journalism, Television Production, or related discipline.
• 7+ years leading high-volume digital video production in major media networks or digital publishers.
• Deep comprehension of YouTube and TikTok algorithmic distribution mechanics.
• Inspiring editorial leadership capable of steering fast-paced multimedia newsrooms.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$150,000 – AU$185,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $150,000 – $185,000 + 11.5% super + performance incentive.
