Qube is appointing a Terminal Operations Superintendent at Port Botany to oversee vessel stevedoring, quay cranes, and intermodal freight rail.

Qube Ports is seeking an experienced Terminal Operations Superintendent to manage quayside container stevedoring and intermodal rail dispatch at Port Botany.

As a key member of the team at Qube Holdings in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Direct container: Direct container vessel loading and discharge operations utilizing ship-to-shore (STS) gantry cranes.
• Coordinate intermodal: Coordinate intermodal rail arrivals and container staging to achieve vessel turnaround times.
• Supervise stevedores,: Supervise stevedores, reach stacker operators, and straddle carrier drivers.
• Maintain rigid: Maintain rigid maritime safety protocols in compliance with AMSA regulations.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Qube Holdings, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Maritime or Logistics Degree or Significant Stevedoring Experience.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in container terminal operations or maritime stevedoring.
• Demonstrated leadership managing operational workforces in waterfront environments.
• Hold Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$130,000 – AU$160,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Package $130,000 – $160,000 + overtime / shift allowances + super.
