Direct automated container rail shuttles, automated stacking cranes (ASC), and truck turnarounds at Australia’s largest intermodal facility, Moorebank.

Qube Holdings is seeking a high-caliber Intermodal Terminal Logistics Operations Manager for our flagship Moorebank Logistics Park (MLP) in South-Western Sydney. You will manage high-throughput intermodal rail operations connecting Port Botany to Western Sydney, directing rail container discharges, automated stacking cranes (ASCs), reach stackers, and heavy road transport gates.

As a key member of the team at Qube Holdings in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Direct 24/7: Direct 24/7 intermodal terminal operations handling over 1 million TEU containers annually.
• Oversee automated: Oversee automated stacking cranes (ASC) and electric rail-mounted gantry (RMG) container handling.
• Optimize container: Optimize container terminal operating system (TOS) workflows to minimize truck queue turnaround times.
• Manage rail: Manage rail shuttle schedules with stevedores (DP World, Patrick, Hutchison) and national rail operators.
• Champion zero-harm: Champion zero-harm safety standards, rail accreditation rules, and environmental noise/air controls.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Qube Holdings, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Logistics, Maritime Transport, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 7+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 7+ years of operational terminal management experience in intermodal rail, container stevedoring, or inland dry ports.
• Familiarity with Terminal Operating Systems (Navis N4, Tideworks) and automated crane technology.
• Demonstrated leadership managing large teams across heavy plant operators and rail ground crews.
• Degree in Logistics, Maritime Transport, Supply Chain, or equivalent extensive industry experience.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$150,000 – AU$180,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive remuneration ($150,000 – $180,000) + performance-based annual bonus.
