Direct ship-to-shore gantry crane operations, container yard stevedoring, and container ship turnaround at the Port of Brisbane.

Qube Ports is recruiting a Senior Container Terminal Operations Manager at the Port of Brisbane (Fisherman Islands). You will lead 24/7 terminal stevedoring, managing quay crane gangs, straddle carrier fleets, rail intermodal transfers, and vessel berth planning to optimize container throughput and vessel turnaround times.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead quay: Lead quay and yard stevedoring operations to maximize crane moves per hour (MPH) across calling container ships.
• Coordinate vessel: Coordinate vessel bay plans, stowage dangerous goods segregations, and container reefer monitoring.
• Manage workforce: Manage workforce allocation under maritime enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs).
• Ensure rigorous: Ensure rigorous compliance with AMSA maritime safety orders and terminal exclusion zones.
• Interface with: Interface with international shipping lines (Maersk, MSC, ONE) and port authority harbour masters.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Qube Holdings, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Maritime Logistics, Supply Chain, or Master Mariner Qualifications.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Degree in Maritime Operations, Logistics, or Marine Engineering / Master Mariner.
• 6+ years operational management experience in container terminal stevedoring or maritime ports.
• Demonstrated experience managing enterprise union workforce environments.
• High proficiency with Terminal Operating Systems (Navis N4, Tideworks, or similar).

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$165,000 – AU$205,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
