Pilbara Minerals is currently recruiting an experienced and dedicated Senior Advisor Community Relations to join the team in Perth Corporate & Pilbara Region, WA. Operating on a 5:2 Perth Corporate with Site Travel, this role reports directly to the Manager External Communication and Community and is responsible for delivering high-standard operational deliverables that underpin safe, continuous production.

Based at Pilbara Minerals’ corporate office in West Perth with potential site liaison, this position plays an integral role in driving engineering, systems governance, commercial planning, and continuous improvement across the company’s tier-one hard-rock lithium portfolio.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Traditional Owner & Custodian Engagement: Community and stakeholder engagement.
• Cultural Heritage Protocol Management: Establish and manage PLS’ community presence and future office in Port Hedland as our local representative.
• Community Investment Program Delivery: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government, Traditional Owners, local communities, industry groups and local businesses.
• Regional Stakeholder Consultations: Formulate and establish and implement stakeholder and community engagement plans to support operations and projects.
• Social Impact Reporting & Compliance: Represent PLS at community events, business forums and meetings to strengthen relationships and promote the Company’s reputation.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Pilbara Minerals, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Tertiary Degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Public Relations, or Community Development
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified operational mining or industrial experience in Australia.
• Relevant Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualified in communications, community relations, social science, social economics, indigenous studies or other relevant discipline.
• Extensive Indigenous & Community Relations Experience: Minimum 5+ years’ experience in community or social performance role or similar.
• Native Title & Heritage Knowledge: Experience developing and implementing stakeholder engagement plans.
• High Emotional Intelligence & Diplomacy: Demonstrated experience and ability in managing community organisations and investment, government, partnerships or grant programs, Traditional Owners and any other industry stakeholders, along with reporting on impacts and outcomes.
• Regional WA Travel Availability: Strong written communication skills, including report writing and content development.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$150,000 – AU$180,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%). (Salary structure is not officially stated by the employer; this represents the general industry standard for this position in Western Australia.)
