Pilbara Minerals is currently recruiting an experienced and dedicated Senior Analyst Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join the team in Perth Corporate Office, WA, Australia. Operating on a 5:2 Perth Corporate Hybrid, this role reports directly to the Group Manager of FP&A Corporate & Reporting and is responsible for delivering high-standard operational deliverables that underpin safe, continuous production.

Based at Pilbara Minerals’ corporate office in West Perth with potential site liaison, this position plays an integral role in driving engineering, systems governance, commercial planning, and continuous improvement across the company’s tier-one hard-rock lithium portfolio.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

  • Operational Cost & Variance Modeling: Deliver dedicated operational support to the organisational planning and reporting cycle, ensuring smooth execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual processes.
  • Monthly Management Pack Generation: Deliver professional robust financial analysis supporting quarterly and half year external reporting.
  • Asset Performance BI Dashboards: Prepare Management and Board Reporting presentations, analysing financial and operational results, measurement of performance metrics and surfacing of underlying business drivers that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Capex Tracking & Forecast Reviews: Analyse key business drivers, trends and variances against budget, forecast and prior periods.
  • Strategic Financial Ad-Hoc Projects: Prepare Board reporting and presentations supporting budget approval and business performance updates.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Pilbara Minerals, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

  • Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Finance / Commerce / Accounting (CA/CPA qualified or studying)
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 4 – 7 Years of verified operational mining or industrial experience in Australia.
  • Commerce / Accounting Degree: Tertiary qualified in Commerce or Business undergraduate along with CA/CPA qualification.
  • CA or CPA Qualification (or progress towards): + years post-graduate experience in FPandA, Management accounting or CFO advisory, ideally within the mining and resources sector.
  • Mining / Heavy Industrial FP&A Experience: Self-starter who enjoys working as part of a team and with the ability to work autonomously when required.
  • Advanced Financial Modeling in Excel: Financial modelling skills with ability to develop robust, well-structured financial analysis and reports.
  • Power BI / Tableau Proficiency: Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
