Australia Post is seeking an experienced Senior Last-Mile Delivery Operations & Fleet Hub Manager to lead operations at our Hemmant parcel facility in Brisbane. You will manage high-speed optical parcel sortation equipment, electric delivery vehicle (eDV) fleets, and hundreds of delivery contractors delivering millions of eCommerce parcels across South East Queensland.

As a key member of the team at Australia Post in Brisbane, QLD, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Direct 24/7: Direct 24/7 parcel sortation operations, scanning throughput, and on-time outbound delivery dispatches.
• Optimize final-mile: Optimize final-mile delivery routes and van load capacities utilizing ORTEC dynamic routing software.
• Manage delivery: Manage delivery contractor agreements, ensuring compliance with Australian Post service charters.
• Oversee transition: Oversee transition and charging infrastructure for electric delivery three-wheelers and vans.
• Drive first-time: Drive first-time delivery success rates and customer net promoter scores.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Australia Post, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Business, Logistics, or Operations Management.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Degree in Logistics, Business, or equivalent practical operational leadership experience.
• 5+ years managing high-volume express parcel, postal, or courier sorting facilities.
• Demonstrated experience managing contractor workforces and automated sortation technologies.
• Strong commitment to safety and fatigue management protocols.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$130,000 – AU$160,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $130,000 – $160,000 + 11.5% super + performance incentive.
