Australia Post is appointing a Distribution Centre Operations Manager in Dandenong South to lead 24/7 automated parcel sortation operations.

Australia Post is looking for an experienced DC Operations Manager to lead operational delivery at our flagship Melbourne Parcel Facility processing hundreds of thousands of parcels daily.

As a key member of the team at Australia Post in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Direct 24/7: Direct 24/7 operations across inbound unloading, automated sortation systems, and linehaul dispatch.
• Lead a: Lead a team of 15 shift supervisors and 300+ operational personnel.
• Optimize automation: Optimize automation throughput and sorting machine efficiency.
• Enforce strict: Enforce strict chain of responsibility (CoR) and safety governance.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Australia Post, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 7+ years operations management experience in high-volume automated distribution centers.
• Proven experience with advanced WMS software and automated cross-belt sorters.
• Exceptional leadership and enterprise bargaining agreement (EBA) management skills.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$145,000 – AU$175,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $145,000 – $175,000 + annual incentive bonus + 11.5% super.
