Australia Post is seeking an experienced Parcel Processing Automation & Sortation Systems Engineer to join our Engineering & Reliability team at the Noble Park Parcel Facility in Melbourne. You will be responsible for the continuous operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of multi-million-dollar high-speed cross-belt sorting machines processing over 40,000 parcels per hour.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Australia Post, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

  • Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or Control Systems.
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
  • 5+ years of automation or mechatronics engineering experience in high-throughput parcel sorting, baggage handling, or warehousing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Siemens PLC programming (TIA Portal) and industrial fieldbuses.
