Lead the national rollout of electric delivery vehicles, heavy EV trucks, and depot charging infrastructure across Australia Post’s fleet.

Australia Post is seeking a visionary National Fleet Electrification & EV Program Manager to join our National Fleet Services team at 111 Bourke Street, Melbourne. You will drive the transition of over 15,000 delivery vehicles, electric three-wheelers, and prime movers to zero-emission battery electric power, overseeing charging depot installations, battery lifecycle management, and telematics-driven efficiency.

As a key member of the team at Australia Post in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead strategy,: Lead strategy, procurement, and deployment for Australia’s largest electric commercial vehicle fleet.
• Oversee installation: Oversee installation of multi-megawatt smart EV charging hubs across major parcel processing facilities.
• Analyze fleet: Analyze fleet telematics data (Geotab) to model route energy consumption, battery degradation, and charge scheduling.
• Negotiate procurement: Negotiate procurement agreements with leading commercial EV truck manufacturers and battery OEMs.
• Manage total: Manage total cost of ownership (TCO) financial models, government grant co-funding, and carbon reduction milestones.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Australia Post, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or Fleet Management.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 7+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 7+ years of commercial fleet management, automotive engineering, or clean transport infrastructure experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale commercial fleet electrification or EV charging projects.
• Strong financial acumen, contract negotiation skills, and program management rigor.
• Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), Supply Chain, or Business.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$155,000 – AU$185,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $155,000 – $185,000 + annual performance bonus + superannuation.
