Lead 24/7 operations of the world-class Pilgangoora spodumene lithium concentrator, driving production targets and critical minerals safety standards.

Pilbara Minerals is seeking a Lithium Processing Shift Supervisor to join our Pilgangoora Operations team in the Pilbara, Western Australia. Operating on a balanced FIFO roster from Perth, you will lead a shift team of process plant operators across crushing, Dense Media Separation (DMS), grinding, spodumene flotation, and concentrate filtration circuits.

As a key member of the team at Pilbara Minerals in Port Hedland, WA, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead shift: Lead shift operations to safely achieve spodumene concentrate tonnage and grade specifications (SC6.0).
• Monitor circuit: Monitor circuit parameters including heavy liquid media density, flotation reagent dosing, and filter cake moisture.
• Coordinate immediate: Coordinate immediate shift troubleshooting during equipment chokes, pump trips, and conveyor blockages.
• Conduct shift: Conduct shift pre-start safety meetings, take-5 risk audits, and enforce critical risk management protocols.
• Foster operator: Foster operator competence through ongoing training, plant area sign-offs, and performance reviews.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Pilbara Minerals, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Cert IV in Extractive Industries / Metallurgy or substantial mineral processing supervisory experience.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 5+ years of mineral processing plant operational experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience in hard-rock lithium (spodumene), base metals, or iron ore processing circuits.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Dense Media Separation (DMS) cyclones and flotation beneficiation.
• Current WA Driver’s License and ability to pass regular commercial FIFO medicals.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$145,000 – AU$175,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• High remuneration ($145,000 – $175,000) + superannuation + quarterly production bonuses.
• Even-time 2:2 or 8:6 FIFO roster with return flights provided from Perth.
