Pilbara Minerals is currently recruiting an experienced and dedicated Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join the team in Pilgangoora, Pilbara, WA, Australia. Operating on a 8/6, 8/6, 8/6, 7/7 FIFO roster from Perth, this role reports directly to the Electrical Supervisor and is responsible for delivering high-standard operational deliverables that underpin safe, continuous production.

Based at the world-class Pilgangoora lithium operation—the largest independent hard-rock lithium deposit globally—you will be an essential contributor to fixed plant reliability, mobile equipment availability, and metallurgical processing excellence powering the international battery and electric vehicle markets.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Fixed Plant Electrical Maintenance: Execute daily scheduled electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities to achieve the maintenance plan as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Instrumentation Loop Calibration: Verify and maintain that all electrical work is completed and recorded in line with statutory regulations and requirements.
• High Voltage Switching & Isolations: Provide active technical support for electrical isolations and permitting when required.
• PLC & Control Troubleshooting: Systematically diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and control systems to determine causes of failures including gathering of failure evidence for further analysis.
• Statutory Work Order Recording: Mechanical checks on electrical equipment (track in/out, interlocking etc.).

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Pilbara Minerals, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: WA ‘A’ Grade Electrical Licence & Cert IV Electrical Instrumentation
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 3 – 5 Years of verified operational mining or industrial experience in Australia.
• Electrical Licence & Cert IV: WA ‘A’ Grade Electrical licence, Cert IV Electrical Instrumentation and High Voltage switching ticket (Essential).
• High Voltage Switching Ticket: Working at Heights and Confined Space (Essential).
• Fixed Mineral Plant Experience: Current WA Driver’s licence.
• Working at Heights & Confined Space: Current EWP ticket, as well as CPR and LV Rescue.
• Pronto & Diagnostic Aptitude: Previous fixed processing plant experience essential.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$145,000 – AU$175,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%). (Salary structure is not officially stated by the employer; this represents the general industry standard for this position in Western Australia.)
