Pilbara Minerals is currently recruiting an experienced and dedicated Auto Electrician (Mobile Maintenance) to join the team in Pilgangoora, Pilbara, WA, Australia. Operating on a 8/6, 7/7 (Days & Nights) FIFO from Perth, this role reports directly to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for delivering high-standard operational deliverables that underpin safe, continuous production.

Based at the world-class Pilgangoora lithium operation—the largest independent hard-rock lithium deposit globally—you will be an essential contributor to fixed plant reliability, mobile equipment availability, and metallurgical processing excellence powering the international battery and electric vehicle markets.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Fleet Electrical Diagnostics: Verify and maintain that that works being performed is done in a safe manner, and in line with company OHandS standards.
• Air Conditioning Servicing: Carry out Low Voltage Electrical and Air Cond repairs maintenance activities on heavy mining equipment.
• Telemetry & Control Integration: Working towards increasing equipment reliability and availability.
• Preventative Maintenance Execution: Work effectively to a maintenance schedule, assess unplanned repairs and effect suitable repairs.
• Field Breakdown Response: Communicate with the Mobile Maintenance Workshop Supervisor on day-to-day activities.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Pilbara Minerals, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Australian Trade Certificate in Automotive Electrical Technology (Cert III)
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 3 – 5 Years of verified operational mining or industrial experience in Australia.
• Trade Certification: Relevant nationally recognised trade qualification: Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology.
• Mining Fleet Background: Certificate II in Air Conditioning.
• Diagnostic Software Proficiency: High Risk Work Licences: Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights.
• Statutory Tickets & Driving: Current and Valid Driver’s Licence (Minimum LR Class).
• Medical & Police Clearance: Minimum 2 years post trade mine site exposure and experience in completing low voltage electrical and air conditioner repairs across a variety of MEM equipment (CAT, Epiroc, Komatsu).

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$145,000 – AU$175,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%). (Salary structure is not officially stated by the employer; this represents the general industry standard for this position in Western Australia.)
