Sydney Airport is seeking an experienced Senior Aviation Network & Airline Commercial Manager to join our Aeronautical Commercial division in Mascot. You will partner with international airlines, tourism bodies, and state governments to build compelling route business cases, secure new direct flights from key Asian, European, and American markets, and negotiate aeronautical services agreements.

As a key member of the team at Sydney Airport in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Develop robust: Develop robust route economic feasibility models and market demand forecasts for prospective international routes.
• Pitch route: Pitch route opportunities to executive network planning teams at major global airlines.
• Negotiate multi-year: Negotiate multi-year aeronautical services agreements, passenger charge structures, and airline marketing incentives.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with Destination NSW and Tourism Australia on collaborative destination marketing campaigns.
• Monitor bilateral: Monitor bilateral air service agreements, capacity caps, and slot allocation frameworks.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Sydney Airport, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Aviation Management, Commerce, Economics or Transport Economics.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 6+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 6+ years of airline network planning, airport commercial management, or aviation consulting experience.
• Deep comprehension of airline route economics, passenger traffic data (MIDT, Sabre ADI), and aircraft performance.
• Outstanding commercial negotiation, executive presentation, and international business relationship skills.
• Degree in Aviation, Commerce, Economics, or Transport Planning.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$155,000 – AU$185,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $155,000 – $185,000 + performance bonus + superannuation.
