The Star Entertainment Group is hiring a Director of Casino Surveillance & Gaming Compliance to oversee our surveillance and integrity operations at Pyrmont, Sydney. You will manage a high-tech surveillance control room monitoring thousands of camera feeds, detect gaming cheating schemes, ensure strict adherence to NSW Independent Casino Commission (NICC) regulations, and partner with law enforcement on AML investigations.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities
In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:
- Direct 24/7: Direct 24/7 surveillance monitoring across the entire gaming floor, VIP private gaming salons, cash cages, and resorts.
- Deploy and: Deploy and optimize cutting-edge video analytics, facial recognition AI, and table game telemetry monitoring systems.
- Ensure full: Ensure full regulatory compliance with the Casino Control Act, NICC directions, and AUSTRAC anti-money laundering mandates.
- Lead forensic: Lead forensic investigations into card counting, dealer collusion, counterfeit chips, and asset protection incidents.
- Liaise directly: Liaise directly with NSW Police, casino special inspectors, and government regulators on compliance matters.
Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience
To be successful in this position at The Star Entertainment Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:
- Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Criminology, Security Management, Law or substantial regulatory surveillance leadership.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 8+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
- 8+ years in senior casino surveillance, gaming regulatory enforcement, or law enforcement intelligence roles.
- Thorough mastery of table game procedures (Baccarat, Blackjack, Roulette) and advantage play/cheating detection.
- Deep knowledge of Australian casino regulatory statutes and AUSTRAC compliance requirements.
- Hold or be eligible to hold a NSW Special Gaming Employee License (Key License).
