Role Mission & Operational Setting: Postal Logistics & Parcel Delivery
In your capacity as a Motorcycle Delivery Driver based in Mt Isa, you will execute essential operational deliverables that keep Australian supply chains fluid and dependable. Operating within our Postal Logistics & Parcel Delivery division, your work directly influences the speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction experienced by households and commercial enterprises.

Key Responsibilities & Daily Operational Deliverables
While specific duties vary depending on facility requirements, rostered shift patterns, and customer volume peaks, core responsibilities for this position include:
- Full-time or Part-time permanent opportunity
- Monday to Friday | 6: 30am – 2:21pm
- Starting your day early in the morning, sorting mail and small parcels with your teammates at the facility
- Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
- Loading your vehicle with your deliveries for the day
- Delivering outdoors in all types of weather to deliver to homes and businesses
- Paired up with our experienced Rider Mentors, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development
- Safety Leadership & Zero Harm: Proactively uphold Australia Post’s uncompromising safety standards, hazard reporting procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain meticulous care of postal items, scanning accuracy, and adherence to security and privacy guidelines governing domestic and international mail.
Candidate Profile, Licences & Selection Criteria
Australia Post evaluates candidates based on reliability, physical fitness, safety mindset, and positive teamwork. To excel in this role, applicants should demonstrate:
- You hold a full or probationary QLD motorcycle licence, and ride a geared motorcycle currently, regularly, and confidently
- On employment, you’ll need to successfully pass our mandatory and practical motorcycle assessment
- You enjoy physical work indoors and outdoors and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly
- You will need to meet our safe working vehicle load limit of weighing under 100kgs fully clothed (including helmet)
