Lead on-site construction delivery, bulk earthworks, GPS machine guidance fleets, and drainage crews for major highway projects across Western Australia.

Fulton Hogan’s Western Australian Infrastructure team is seeking an experienced Civil Infrastructure Superintendent based in Perth. You will direct field construction operations for major road widenings and highway interchanges, managing fleets of scrapers, excavators, GPS-guided graders, and subcontractors to deliver projects on schedule, to Main Roads WA specifications, and with zero harm.

As a key member of the team at Fulton Hogan in Perth, WA, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead all: Lead all daily site construction activities, managing direct labor crews, plant operators, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate heavy: Coordinate heavy civil plant fleets (scrapers, dozers, GPS graders, vibratory rollers) to optimize production cycle times.
• Ensure bulk: Ensure bulk earthworks, subgrade stabilization, and basecourse gravel placements meet compaction specifications.
• Enforce Fulton: Enforce Fulton Hogan’s Living Safely culture, conducting daily pre-start safety talks and hazard inspections.
• Liaise with: Liaise with traffic management teams, utility authorities, and client site inspectors to coordinate work sequences.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Fulton Hogan, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Trade qualification in Civil Construction or extensive frontline civil superintendent experience.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 8+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 8+ years of civil construction site supervisory experience on major road, highway, or resource earthworks projects.
• Thorough knowledge of Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) specifications and quality test methods.
• Demonstrated mastery in mass earthworks balancing, moisture conditioning, and pavement layer works.
• Respected frontline safety leader with outstanding interpersonal communication and crew motivation skills.

At Fulton Hogan, we understand that our people drive our achievements. An outstanding remuneration and wellbeing package is provided in line with Australian benchmarks:

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$155,000 – AU$185,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $155,000 – $185,000 + fully maintained dual-cab 4WD utility + company bonus.
• Based in Perth with regional WA project opportunities and travel allowances.
