Pilbara Minerals is currently recruiting an experienced and dedicated Principal Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join the team in Perth Corporate Office, WA, Australia. Operating on a 5:2 Perth Corporate Hybrid, this role reports directly to the Department Leadership and is responsible for delivering high-standard operational deliverables that underpin safe, continuous production.
Based at Pilbara Minerals’ corporate office in West Perth with potential site liaison, this position plays an integral role in driving engineering, systems governance, commercial planning, and continuous improvement across the company’s tier-one hard-rock lithium portfolio.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities
In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:
- Long-Term Corporate Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models to evaluate scenarios/plans and decisions, clearly articulating the risk-reward proposition.
- Annual Budgeting & Forecast Consolidation: Deliver ad-hoc analysis (including Sensitivity analysis) across a range of macro-economic and operational factors to support annual plans, forecasting and long-term strategic planning.
- Capital Allocation & Investment Appraisals: Continuously improve models, in line with financial modelling best practices.
- Executive Board Pack Preparation: Formulate and establish understanding of key value drivers and flow of information across the value chain.
- Commercial Lithium Market Sensitivity Analysis: Formulate and establish relationships with internal stakeholders to extract subject matter expertise in a collaborate manner.
Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience
To be successful in this position at Pilbara Minerals, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:
- Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Finance / Accounting & CA / CPA / CFA Qualification
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 8+ Years of verified operational mining or industrial experience in Australia.
- CA/CPA/CFA Accreditation: Tertiary qualified from a diverse background including consulting, investment banking corporate finance or engineering.
- Senior Corporate FP&A Background: Mining industry experience and exposure to ASX-listed or international listed company environments are preferred.
- Resources Sector Financial Modeling: Proven discounted cash flow financial modelling and valuation experience.
- Executive Presentation Skills: Strong financial modelling and data analysis skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced Data Visualization: Ability to work with subject matter experts and distil technical and financial information to create easy to understand financial models to drive data insights.
