Deloitte’s Forensic practice in Sydney is recruiting an experienced Senior Forensic Accountant. Based in the architectural icon Quay Quarter Tower, you will investigate high-stakes allegations of white-collar crime, financial statement fraud, bribery, and corporate asset misappropriation, preparing expert witness evidence for Australian courts.

As a key member of the team at Deloitte Australia in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Conduct forensic: Conduct forensic examinations of electronic accounting databases, bank statements, and email records.
• Reconstruct incomplete: Reconstruct incomplete financial accounts and quantify economic loss in commercial litigation and shareholder disputes.
• Perform digital: Perform digital asset tracing across domestic and international banking jurisdictions.
• Author expert: Author expert witness reports conforming to Supreme Court and Federal Court Expert Witness Codes of Conduct.
• Interview witnesses: Interview witnesses and persons of interest in coordination with client legal counsel.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Deloitte Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Commerce / Accounting & CA / CPA & CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner).
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
• CA ANZ or CPA qualification; Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) accreditation preferred.
• 5+ years specialized experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigations, or dispute advisory.
• Familiarity with forensic data analytics tools (SQL, Alteryx, Relativity, Tableau).

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$145,000 – AU$180,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive salary $145,000 – $180,000 + 11.5% super.
