Pitcher Partners Melbourne has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Audit & Assurance Manager at our Docklands offices. You will oversee audit engagements for dynamic mid-market businesses, privately owned groups, and not-for-profit entities, establishing strong relationships with business owners and managing directors.

As a key member of the team at Pitcher Partners in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Plan and: Plan and execute end-to-end audit strategies using Caseware and modern data analytics tools.
• Review complex: Review complex accounting issues including revenue recognition, asset revaluations, and business combinations.
• Deliver insightful: Deliver insightful management letters identifying operational risk improvements.
• Manage client: Manage client billings, engagement budgets, and staff recovery metrics.
• Coach and: Coach and mentor junior audit staff, conducting technical training seminars.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Pitcher Partners, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Commerce / Accounting & CA ANZ / CPA Qualified.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Degree in Accounting or Commerce.
• CA ANZ or CPA qualified.
• 5+ years audit experience with an Australian mid-tier or Big 4 accounting firm.
• Passionate about supporting Australian family businesses and middle-market enterprises.

At Pitcher Partners, we understand that our people drive our achievements. An outstanding remuneration and wellbeing package is provided in line with Australian benchmarks:

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$135,000 – AU$165,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary $135,000 – $165,000 + 11.5% super + performance bonus.
