Direct ship loading, bulk grab unloading, and wharf stevedoring crews for international bulk cargo vessels at Qube Port Kembla.

Qube Ports is seeking a dynamic Bulk Stevedoring & Maritime Terminal Superintendent to direct marine terminal operations in Port Kembla, NSW. You will manage ship discharge and loading for bulk grain, coal, mineral sands, and automotive Ro-Ro vessels, directing wharf labor, coordinating with harbour pilots and marine surveyors, and ensuring compliance with AMSA and Maritime safety standards.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Direct stevedoring: Direct stevedoring vessel operations, crane drivers, hold trimmers, and wharf logistics personnel.
• Review vessel: Review vessel stowage plans, stability calculations, and cargo securing in compliance with the IMO Code of Safe Practice.
• Coordinate with: Coordinate with shipping agents, tug operators, and Port Authority of NSW for berth bookings and pilotage.
• Enforce strict: Enforce strict stevedoring safety regulations, maritime work health and safety laws, and environmental dust controls.
• Manage stevedoring: Manage stevedoring productivity rates (tonnes per hour) and minimize vessel laytime and demurrage.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Qube Holdings, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Maritime Operations, Port Logistics, or substantial stevedoring leadership.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 6+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 6+ years of stevedoring, port operations, or maritime deck officer experience on commercial cargo vessels.
• Deep understanding of bulk vessel loading sequence, grab discharge operations, and heavy wharf plant.
• Strong leadership presence managing wharf workforce under maritime enterprise agreements.
• Hold or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$140,000 – AU$170,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
