Virgin Australia is seeking an analytical Airline Revenue Management & Yield Optimization Specialist to join our Commercial Revenue division in Brisbane. You will manage a portfolio of high-density domestic routes (Golden Triangle: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane), analyzing booking velocity, elasticity curves, and competitor pricing to dynamically release fare classes and optimize route profitability.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Manage seat: Manage seat inventory and fare-class availability across designated route portfolios using revenue management systems (PROS/Amadeus).
• Analyze historical: Analyze historical booking pickup trends, seasonality curves, and major sporting event demand spikes.
• Formulate pricing: Formulate pricing actions, tactical sales promotions, and corporate discount allocations.
• Develop predictive: Develop predictive revenue forecasting models utilizing SQL, Python, and Tableau.
• Present route: Present route performance insights and unit revenue (RASK) metrics to Network Planning leaders.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Virgin Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Econometrics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or Revenue Management.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 4+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 4+ years of revenue management or yield optimization experience in airlines, hotels, or rental fleets.
• Demonstrated proficiency in dynamic pricing algorithms and revenue management optimization systems.
• Strong quantitative mindset with advanced SQL and analytical modeling skills.
• Degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Finance.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$125,000 – AU$150,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
