Manage operational performance, turbine availability, and maintenance contracts across utility-scale wind energy assets.

EnergyAustralia is recruiting a Senior Wind Farm Operations & Asset Manager based in Melbourne. You will be responsible for the operational management, availability optimization, and contract governance across our portfolio of contracted and owned utility wind farms across Victoria and South Australia.

As a key member of the team at EnergyAustralia in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Monitor daily: Monitor daily generation, curtailment events, and wind turbine generator (WTG) availability metrics.
• Manage Tier-1: Manage Tier-1 OEM full-service maintenance contracts (Vestas, GE, Goldwind) enforcing availability warranties.
• Conduct technical: Conduct technical audits of blade integrity, gearbox vibrations, and pitch bearing inspections.
• Coordinate scheduled: Coordinate scheduled network outages with AEMO and local transmission network service providers.
• Develop Capex/Opex: Develop Capex/Opex annual budgets and long-term asset life extension strategies.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at EnergyAustralia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Renewable Asset Management.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Engineering degree or equivalent background in renewable energy asset management.
• 6+ years experience in wind turbine operations, maintenance, or technical asset management.
• Commercial acumen in administering PPAs and long-term service agreements (LTSA).
• Willingness to travel periodically to rural wind farm sites.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$150,000 – AU$185,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Attractive salary $150,000 – $185,000 + 11.5% super + performance incentives.
