MYOB is seeking a Senior API & Integration Developer to join our Business Platform engineering team. You will lead the design and implementation of high-throughput public and private APIs, webhook distribution architectures, and banking feeds that process billions of dollars in daily transactions for Australian enterprises.

As a key member of the team at MYOB in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Architect and: Architect and build high-volume public APIs following OpenAPI / REST standards and OAuth2 security protocols.
• Implement asynchronous: Implement asynchronous event-driven integrations using Apache Kafka and AWS SNS/SQS.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with external banking partners and software developers consuming MYOB platform APIs.
• Optimize API: Optimize API gateways for rate limiting, DDoS mitigation, low latency, and high availability.
• Develop automated: Develop automated contract testing using tools like Pact to ensure zero regression across microservices.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at MYOB, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 5+ years of software development experience specializing in API design and system integration.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, or modern backend frameworks.
• Strong understanding of API security, identity protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect), and encryption standards.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$145,000 – AU$175,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
