As a Commercial Painter at CBRE, you will provide vital operational leadership, technical execution, and client management across dedicated facilities and corporate real estate portfolios in Beaverton, United States. Operating within our GWS Segment (Engineering/Maintenance), your primary focus will be optimizing day-to-day asset performance, mitigating operational risks, and driving continuous improvement.

Operational Context: Technical Infrastructure & Facility Engineering

CBRE Technical Services delivers engineering reliability across commercial high-rises, research laboratories, manufacturing sites, and critical infrastructure. Engineers and technicians execute proactive planned preventative maintenance (PPM), building automation system (BAS) calibration, power factor correction, and mechanical equipment lifecycle overhauls, ensuring compliance with local building codes, OSHA standards, and environmental sustainability mandates.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

In this capacity, your daily workflows and strategic contributions will center on the following core deliverables:

• Oversee the general operation, repair and maintenance of the building’s structure and grounds.
• Perform interior preparation, painting, touch-up, and finishing of areas in need of commercial-level painting. Working under close supervision, utilize several trade skills such as patching, painting, and finishing.
• Use necessary tools and equipment to complete duties related to the application of varnish, polyurethane, primer paint, and other specialty coatings.
• Repair and remodel imperfections. This includes masking, preparing, and protecting surfaces to ensure facilities are properly maintained.
• Review assigned work orders. estimate time and order materials, equipment, tools to complete assigned work.
• Work with other craftsmen to complete various projects or repairs.
• Collaborate with employees, end users and stakeholders concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental (HSE), and regulatory statutory requirements across all operational activities.
• Prepare comprehensive reporting dashboards, executive briefing summaries, and asset condition documentation for client and internal stakeholders.

Candidate Profile & Experience Requirements

To qualify for the Commercial Painter position, candidates are evaluated based on their hands-on background, technical credentials, and operational competencies:

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 4 years (48 months) of verified experience directly applicable to engineering/maintenance or related operational disciplines.
• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
