QUT’s Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice is seeking a Senior Curriculum & Assessment Specialist in Brisbane. You will lead the design and evaluation of cutting-edge school STEM, digital technologies, and robotics curriculum frameworks, working collaboratively with state education departments and industry partners.

As a key member of the team at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, QLD, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Author comprehensive: Author comprehensive teacher instructional guides and student challenges adhering to Australian Curriculum V9.0.
• Develop authentic: Develop authentic assessment rubrics evaluating computational thinking and creative engineering problem-solving.
• Deliver professional: Deliver professional learning masterclasses for primary and secondary school STEM teachers.
• Conduct educational: Conduct educational research analyzing student engagement in artificial intelligence and robotics education.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with edtech hardware vendors (LEGO Education, VEX Robotics, micro:bit) on educational integrations.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Master of Education (Curriculum & Assessment) & Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) Registration.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Master of Education in Curriculum, Pedagogy, or Educational Leadership.
• Current or eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
• 5+ years experience in curriculum design or senior school STEM education in Australia.
• Demonstrated mastery of digital technologies curriculum and contemporary assessment design.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$125,000 – AU$150,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive salary $125,000 – $150,000 + 17% employer superannuation.
