CIMIC Group is appointing a Lead Structural Engineer in North Sydney to oversee structural bridge design and underground rail stations.

CIMIC Group’s engineering consultancy is looking for a Lead Structural Engineer to head the structural design team for complex transport and bridge projects.

As a key member of the team at CIMIC Group in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Direct structural: Direct structural analysis and design for bridges, viaducts, and transport facilities.
• Conduct advanced: Conduct advanced structural modeling using Strand7 and SpaceGass.
• Review and: Review and verify engineering designs ensuring compliance with AS 5100 and TfNSW standards.
• Mentor and: Mentor and develop junior structural design engineers.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at CIMIC Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Structural Engineering & CPEng.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Structural Engineering.
• Current Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia.
• Minimum 8 years of structural design experience with focus on heavy civil infrastructure.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$155,000 – AU$195,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Generous remuneration package of $155,000 – $195,000 + 11.5% super + performance bonus.

• Leave Entitlements: 4 weeks annual leave (with 17.5% annual leave loading where applicable) plus 10 days paid personal/carer’s leave.
