Role Overview & Strategic Impact
As a CAD Administrator at CBRE, you will provide vital operational leadership, technical execution, and client management across dedicated facilities and corporate real estate portfolios in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Operating within our Advisory Segment (Construction, Consulting, Design), your primary focus will be optimizing day-to-day asset performance, mitigating operational risks, and driving continuous improvement.

Operational Context: Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) & Workplace Experience
CBRE Integrated Facilities Management delivers end-to-end operational excellence, workplace experience curation, contract lifecycle oversight, and supply chain governance. Managers drive service level agreements (SLAs), optimize facilities operating budgets, oversee third-party technical vendors, and maintain safe, productive commercial office environments for Fortune 500 corporations worldwide.
Team members in this discipline combine deep technical domain expertise with client-focused execution. Whether managing complex real estate transactions, executing critical engineering protocols, or administering enterprise service agreements, you will operate within a mature governance model backed by CBRE’s global knowledge network.
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
In this capacity, your daily workflows and strategic contributions will center on the following core deliverables:
- Prepare prints of various original plans and records for internal and external agency use. Update various drawings as changes are made, utilizing computer-aided drafting techniques.
- Gather data to complete drawings by visiting the site directly. Conduct surveys of space and prepare reports.
- Verify the development of maps and drawings that are spatially accurate and technically correct.
- Work with internal and external partners to obtain details of projects, including equipment, materials, and codes.
- Collect on-site information and store it electronically to maintain current building conditions and data.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
- Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental (HSE), and regulatory statutory requirements across all operational activities.
- Prepare comprehensive reporting dashboards, executive briefing summaries, and asset condition documentation for client and internal stakeholders.
Candidate Profile & Experience Requirements
To qualify for the CAD Administrator position, candidates are evaluated based on their hands-on background, technical credentials, and operational competencies:
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of verified experience directly applicable to construction, consulting, design or related operational disciplines.
- High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

This role is based out of Alajuela, Costa Rica. The operational arrangement is structured as Full-time under a On-site Dedicated (Alajuela, Costa Rica) format.
