Lead national compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and mass/fatigue risk management at Team Global Express.

Team Global Express is seeking an experienced National Road Transport Safety & Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Manager to join our National Risk & Safety team in Mulgrave, Melbourne. You will govern legal compliance with HVNL regulations, design CoR assurance audit frameworks, manage mass/dimension and load restraint policies, and liaise with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) and police transport commands.

As a key member of the team at Team Global Express in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Govern enterprise-wide: Govern enterprise-wide Chain of Responsibility (CoR) systems across linehaul, pickup & delivery, and contractor networks.
• Design and: Design and execute nationwide compliance audits assessing driver fatigue, mass/dimension limits, and load restraint (Load Restraint Guide 2018).
• Manage relationships: Manage relationships and formal regulatory interactions with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
• Lead thorough: Lead thorough root-cause investigations into heavy vehicle rollovers, load shifts, and dangerous road occurrences.
• Develop executive: Develop executive and Board reporting packs detailing fleet safety risk metrics and continuous improvement milestones.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Team Global Express, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Law, Transport Economics, WHS or certified CoR / Safety Management Auditor.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 6+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 6+ years of specialized transport safety, legal compliance, or Chain of Responsibility management experience in Australia.
• Authoritative expertise in the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), primary duty provisions, and master industry codes.
• Demonstrated experience conducting heavy vehicle compliance audits across transport depots and freight yards.
• Degree in Law, Transport Logistics, WHS, or equivalent recognized compliance qualifications.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$145,000 – AU$175,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Package $145,000 – $175,000 + performance bonus + superannuation.
