Carsales is looking for a proactive Full Stack Web Developer to join our Brisbane engineering team. You will build customer-facing web applications that streamline how Australians purchase, finance, and inspect vehicles online, collaborating with product managers and UX designers in an agile environment.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Develop high-performance,: Develop high-performance, modular frontend applications in React and TypeScript.
• Design and: Design and maintain scalable microservices and GraphQL/REST APIs using Node.js.
• Integrate database: Integrate database solutions using PostgreSQL, Redis caching, and AWS serverless components.
• Write comprehensive: Write comprehensive automated tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
• Participate in: Participate in daily stand-ups, code reviews, and sprint retrospectives.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Carsales, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical coding experience.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 3+ years of professional full stack web development experience with React and Node.js.
• Proficient in TypeScript and modern asynchronous JavaScript.
• Experience with relational databases, ORMs (Prisma, TypeORM), and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Good understanding of web performance optimization and mobile-responsive styling.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$120,000 – AU$145,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive compensation ($120,000 – $145,000) + superannuation.
