Direct world-class food, beverage, and corporate suite hospitality for 100,000 spectators at Australia’s most iconic sports stadium, the MCG.

Delaware North Australia is seeking a seasoned General Manager of Stadium Food, Beverage & Hospitality to command catering operations at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). You will have complete operational and financial responsibility for major AFL Finals, international cricket tests, and blockbuster concerts, managing over 120 retail outlets, 110 corporate suites, and 2,000 event-day staff.

As a key member of the team at Delaware North Australia in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Direct full-scale: Direct full-scale catering operations for AFL matches, Boxing Day Tests, and major concerts with crowds up to 100,000.
• Manage luxury: Manage luxury corporate suite dining, President’s Luncheons, and Member Reserve dining rooms.
• Lead a: Lead a massive event workforce comprising permanent operations managers, executive chefs, and casual hospitality personnel.
• Manage multi-million-dollar: Manage multi-million-dollar food and beverage revenue P&L, stock replenishment, and inventory loss control.
• Collaborate closely: Collaborate closely with Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) executive management and sporting codes.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Delaware North Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or Business Administration.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 8+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 8+ years of senior executive management experience in sports stadiums, convention centres, or high-volume entertainment venues.
• Proven ability to execute high-stakes catering events with exceptional speed of service and hospitality polish.
• Strong commercial acumen, contract management experience, and labor budget mastery.
• Degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or Business.

At Delaware North Australia, we understand that our people drive our achievements. An outstanding remuneration and wellbeing package is provided in line with Australian benchmarks:

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$175,000 – AU$215,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Executive remuneration ($175,000 – $215,000) + performance bonus + superannuation.
