Opal HealthCare is appointing a Quality & Compliance Clinical Nurse Advisor in Sydney to lead clinical audits and accreditation readiness.

Opal HealthCare’s Clinical Governance team in Sydney is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join as Quality & Compliance Clinical Nurse Advisor. You will partner with care community leaders across NSW, driving clinical audit compliance, infection prevention, and unannounced audit preparedness.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

  • Conduct comprehensive: Conduct comprehensive clinical quality audits against the 8 Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Analyze clinical: Analyze clinical indicator telemetry (falls, pressure injuries, restrictive practices) to design remediation plans.
  • Support residential: Support residential homes through Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission re-accreditation audits.
  • Coach General: Coach General Managers and Care Managers on clinical governance and quality risk management.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Opal HealthCare, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

  • Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing & Certificate in Quality Auditing.
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
  • Current unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in aged care clinical governance, quality auditing, or management.
  • Certified Lead Quality Auditor qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Current NSW driver’s licence with willingness to travel to care communities.

  • Competitive Remuneration: AU$110,000 – AU$130,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
