Regis Aged Care Armadale is hiring a Dementia Support Registered Nurse to implement positive behavioral support plans and sensory therapy.

Regis Aged Care is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to lead dementia and memory support care at our premium Armadale home. You will pioneer person-centered sensory enrichment, reducing restrictive practices and supporting residents living with Alzheimer’s and cognitive impairment.

As a key member of the team at Regis Aged Care in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Develop individualized: Develop individualized Positive Behavior Support Plans for residents living with dementia.
• Implement non-pharmacological: Implement non-pharmacological behavioral interventions, music therapy, and Montessori techniques.
• Coordinate medication: Coordinate medication reviews with geriatricians and clinical pharmacists to minimize psychotropic use.
• Mentor care: Mentor care staff and support families through dementia progression education.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Regis Aged Care, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing & Dementia Care Certification.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Current unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated post-registration experience and genuine passion for dementia care and gerontology.
• Completed or enrolled in Postgraduate studies in Dementia Care or Gerontology.
• Strong empathy, patient communication, and documentation skills.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$88,000 – AU$102,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary $88,000 – $102,000 + 11.5% super + shift penalties.
