Join Australia’s leading heart hospital in Brisbane as a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse caring for coronary stenting and structural heart procedures.

The Prince Charles Hospital, part of Metro North Health, is recruiting an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse. You will scrub, scout, and monitor complex diagnostic coronary angiographies, primary percutaneous coronary interventions (PPCI for STEMI), and transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR).

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Perform circulating,: Perform circulating, scrubbing, and hemodynamic monitoring during cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Participate in: Participate in the 24/7 on-call acute STEMI emergency coronary intervention roster.
• Manage arterial: Manage arterial sheath removals, vascular closure devices, and access-site homeostasis.
• Administer procedural: Administer procedural conscious sedation and monitor cardiac telemetry rhythm traces.
• Maintain sterile: Maintain sterile surgical fields and operate sophisticated fluoroscopic imaging equipment.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at The Prince Charles Hospital, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing & AHPRA Registration.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 2-5 Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Current unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, CCU, or Intensive Care.
• Advanced ECG rhythm interpretation and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Willingness to participate in on-call emergency callback rosters.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$88,000 – AU$105,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive salary $88,000 – $105,000 + 12.75% superannuation + on-call availability allowances.
