Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope

  • Assist with the preparation and review of board materials, contracts, investment guidelines, operational procedures, fund registration statements, proxy materials, and regulatory filings.
  • Additionally maintain timelines and project plans, and represent the Legal department in meetings, including board, operating company, and investment committee meetings.

Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with prior experience in a Paralegal role within the investment management industry or a strong interest in breaking into the field and aggressively learning about '40 Act registered funds, securities filings, and corporate governance.
  • Familiarity with or a strong interest in learning electronic board portal systems, document management systems, and the SEC EDGAR system.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships with other business areas.
