Suncorp Group’s Pricing & Actuarial division is hiring a Senior Actuarial Analyst at our award-winning Heritage Lanes headquarters in Brisbane. You will lead the development of predictive pricing algorithms, generalized linear models (GLMs), and natural hazard risk cost assessments for Australia’s largest home and motor vehicle insurance portfolios.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Suncorp Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

  • Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics or Statistics + Progress towards Actuaries Institute Fellowship (FIAA).
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 4+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
  • 4+ years of actuarial experience within general insurance pricing, reserving, or capital modeling.
  • Part-qualified or near-qualified Actuary with the Actuaries Institute Australia (or international equivalent).
  • Proficiency with actuarial pricing software (Emblem, Radar) and data science programming (Python, R, SQL).
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to explain complex statistical models to non-actuarial stakeholders.
