Lead regulatory engagement, policy development, and compliance monitoring across superannuation and retail wealth operations at AMP.
AMP Australia is seeking an experienced Compliance & Regulatory Governance Manager to join our Enterprise Risk and Compliance division in Sydney. You will manage proactive compliance monitoring programs, coordinate regulatory engagements with ASIC and APRA, lead the implementation of APRA CPS 230 Operational Resilience standards, and manage incident breach reporting.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities
In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:
- Manage compliance: Manage compliance monitoring reviews across superannuation, retirement income products, and distribution channels.
- Coordinate responses: Coordinate responses to regulatory notices, information requests, and thematic reviews from ASIC and APRA.
- Assess reportable: Assess reportable situations under the Corporations Act breach reporting regime and oversee remediation workflows.
- Guide business: Guide business units in implementing upcoming legislative changes and industry codes of practice.
- Prepare monthly: Prepare monthly compliance dashboards and reports for Executive Risk Committees and Board Subcommittees.
Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience
To be successful in this position at AMP Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:
- Mandatory Qualification: Tertiary degree in Law, Governance, Commerce or Risk Management.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 6+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
- 6+ years of compliance, regulatory legal, or risk management experience within an Australian wealth manager or insurer.
- In-depth familiarity with Australian financial services laws (Corporations Act, SIS Act, ASIC RG 78).
- Proven track record in managing regulatory interactions and driving policy changes across complex organizations.
- Exceptional written communication, analytical rigor, and executive presentation capabilities.
