Macquarie Capital is hiring an Investment Banking Associate in Sydney to execute M&A transactions and capital raising in renewable infrastructure.

Macquarie Capital’s Infrastructure & Energy Capital division is recruiting an Associate in Sydney to execute M&A advisory, debt structuring, and equity capital transactions.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

  • Build dynamic,: Build dynamic, three-statement financial and DCF valuation models for multi-billion energy assets.
  • Draft confidential: Draft confidential information memorandums, pitch decks, and board presentations.
  • Manage commercial,: Manage commercial, tax, and technical due diligence workstreams alongside advisors.
  • Interact directly: Interact directly with institutional clients, private equity sponsors, and lenders.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Macquarie Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

  • Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Commerce, Finance, or Law (First Class Honours).
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
  • 3+ years experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or Big 4 valuations.
  • Superior financial modeling capabilities and deep understanding of M&A processes.
  • Strong academic record in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or Law.
