Description
Position Overview: Senior Product Designer, Canada (Remote)
This is a high-impact design role on our Hims & Hers Canada team. Core treatments — weight loss, hair loss & sexual health — are categories where trust is everything, and where good design changes whether someone asks for help at all. We’re looking for a Product Designer who understands that and brings the skill, judgment, and craft to act on it. You’ll help shape the end-to-end experience across these categories: the intake flows, the treatment journeys, the moments of reassurance, and the points where someone decides to stay or leave. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Research, contributing your point of view on what “good” looks like and pushing back when something isn’t right.

Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
In this position at Eucalyptus, your primary deliverables and day-to-day focus areas include:
- Own a problem area across connected surfaces, not a queue of screens, from definition to delivery.
- Research it, design it, write it, test it, measure it, iterate. You drive it without waiting for a spec.
- Move commercial outcomes on your surface: activation, conversion through regulated intake, retention, adherence. You know which metric you are moving and why.
- Create designs that build trust and hold up in a regulated market.
- Scope: you own a problem area end to end.
- Impact: you moved a meaningful metric and can show the before and after.
- Influence: you raise the bar around you. You give sharp critique. You make junior designers better without being asked to.
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, Eucalyptus is seeking candidates who possess the following credentials, competencies, and mindset:
- You’re a talented Senior Product Designer with a passion for health and excitement about building our expanding healthcare platform. You enjoy working in dynamic environments, solving complex problems, and creating thoughtful, user-centred design solutions that make a real impact.
- Problem definition. You shape the problem, not just the pixels. Using research, data and the input of others, you break the ambiguity down and package it back up into something the team can build. The signal is evidence you helped define the right problem, not just made the screens.
- Visual craft. Non-negotiable. Typography, spacing, colour, motion and micro-interactions, used with intent, not decoration. Weak craft is a no, whatever the strategy talk.
- Accessibility. You design inclusively without being asked. You know why the standard exists, not just what it says, and it shows in judgement calls a checklist cannot make.
- Systems thinking. You design across surfaces, from mobile to emerging platforms like AI-native interfaces, and contribute to the system others build on. Infrastructure compounds. Single screens do not.
- Product and commercial sense. You shaped what got built. Metrics, research and commercial awareness sit next to the work. Craft in isolation moves nothing.
- Communication. Clear, specific, opinionated. You say what you decided and why, and you are just as clear on what you chose not to do and why.
- Working in the open. You share early and often, and you use critique to sharpen the work. You lift the quality of every review you join.
- LLMs are already embedded in your workflow.
- You prototype in tools like Claude Code and Cursor to test ideas in real code, not just mock them up. Tighter build-measure-learn loops.
- The signal is workflow, not tool count. Judgement spent where it counts.
- We expect you to work end to end, from problem definition and research to information architecture and UX writing.
