CEVA Logistics Australia is recruiting a Senior Dangerous Goods & Chemical Supply Chain Safety Specialist in North Ryde, Sydney. You will provide technical safety governance across our national chemical warehousing facilities, ensuring strict compliance with the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG Code), IMDG, IATA, and SafeWork NSW regulations.

As a key member of the team at CEVA Logistics Australia in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Oversee hazardous: Oversee hazardous materials classification, chemical segregation matrices, and bunding integrity in warehouses.
• Maintain dangerous: Maintain dangerous goods site licenses and compliance with Major Hazard Facility (MHF) regulations.
• Conduct safety: Conduct safety audits of heavy vehicle transport contractors carrying bulk flammable liquids and corrosive chemicals.
• Develop emergency: Develop emergency response plans and coordinate spill response exercises with Fire and Rescue NSW.
• Deliver certified: Deliver certified Dangerous Goods Driver and Warehouse Handler training courses.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at CEVA Logistics Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or Dangerous Goods Certification.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent practical hazardous goods experience.
• Certified Dangerous Goods Consultant or accredited DG trainer (ADG, IMDG, IATA).
• 5+ years experience managing dangerous goods in warehousing or chemical manufacturing in Australia.
• In-depth mastery of the Australian Dangerous Goods (ADG) Code and WHS hazardous chemicals regulations.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$130,000 – AU$160,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary $130,000 – $160,000 + 11.5% super + corporate bonus.
