Intrepid Travel is seeking an experienced Senior Sustainable Travel Product Manager to lead our Australian destination portfolio in Melbourne. You will curate immersive travel itineraries across the Kimberley, Red Centre, and Tasmania that adhere to rigorous B-Corp social and environmental impact criteria.

As a key member of the team at Intrepid Travel Australia in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Develop authentic: Develop authentic small-group adventure itineraries partnering with First Nations traditional owners.
• Negotiate supplier: Negotiate supplier contracts with regional boutique accommodation, eco-cruises, and local transport operators.
• Calculate tour: Calculate tour pricing models, yield management, and carbon emissions auditing per passenger day.
• Ensure itineraries: Ensure itineraries adhere to Intrepid’s animal welfare, child protection, and regenerative tourism standards.
• Monitor trip: Monitor trip NPS and leader feedback to continuously elevate guest satisfaction.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Intrepid Travel Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Sustainable Tourism, Environmental Management, or International Development.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Degree in Tourism Management, International Studies, or Environmental Sciences.
• 5+ years travel product development or tour contracting experience within Australia.
• Demonstrated commitment to sustainable, responsible, and carbon-neutral travel.
• Strong commercial contract negotiation and tour margin modeling skills.

At Intrepid Travel Australia, we understand that our people drive our achievements. An outstanding remuneration and wellbeing package is provided in line with Australian benchmarks:

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$115,000 – AU$140,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $115,000 – $140,000 + 11.5% super + profit-share bonuses.
