Lead high-volume hospitality, outdoor beer gardens, live DJ entertainment, and bistro dining at an iconic eastern suburbs venue.

Solotel is recruiting a passionate Senior Operations Manager to steer operations at The Golden Sheaf in Double Bay. You will oversee busy day-to-night trade across multiple bars, a leafy beer garden, late-night music lineups, and private functions, fostering an energetic venue atmosphere.

As a key member of the team at Solotel Hospitality Group in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Oversee weekly: Oversee weekly beverage turnover, draft beer line maintenance, cellar logistics, and COGS margins.
• Direct security: Direct security management, RSA compliance, and local council/police licensing protocols during peak trade.
• Coordinate live: Coordinate live music programming, brand activation pop-ups, and large-scale sporting screenings.
• Manage front-of-house: Manage front-of-house wage percentages against budgeted revenue targets using Deputy / Tanda.
• Develop venue: Develop venue managers and floor supervisors through Solotel’s leadership academy.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Solotel Hospitality Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Diploma in Hospitality Management & Current NSW RSA / RCG Licences.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Diploma in Hospitality or 5+ years experience managing multi-million dollar high-volume Sydney pubs.
• Current NSW RSA and RCG certifications.
• Proven track record managing entertainment, gaming, and busy food service under one roof.
• Energetic leadership personality with deep community rapport.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$115,000 – AU$140,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary $115,000 – $140,000 + 11.5% super + generous venue bonus scheme.
