NAB is hiring a Senior DevSecOps Engineer in Melbourne to integrate automated security tooling and container scanning into developer CI/CD workflows.

NAB’s Cloud Security Engineering team in Melbourne is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer. You will champion security automation, embedding SAST, DAST, and container vulnerability scanners into GitHub Actions and Jenkins pipelines to enable secure developer velocity.

As a key member of the team at National Australia Bank (NAB) in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Integrate automated: Integrate automated vulnerability scanning tools (Snyk, SonarQube, Prisma Cloud) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement automated: Implement automated Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) security checks and policy-as-code (OPA/Gatekeeper).
• Establish container: Establish container image signing, software bill of materials (SBOM), and supply chain security.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with developers to remediate identified security vulnerabilities proactively.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at National Australia Bank (NAB), candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Computer Science or Equivalent.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 5+ years experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Application Security.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Practical experience securing Docker containers, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud platforms.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$155,000 – AU$190,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary $155,000 – $190,000 + performance bonus + superannuation.
