Palo Alto Networks is appointing a Cortex Solutions Architect in Canberra to design automated XDR detection platforms for federal agencies.
Palo Alto Networks is seeking an accomplished Cortex Security Solutions Architect in Canberra. You will lead pre-sales architecture for our Cortex XDR and XSOAR automation platforms, helping Australian Federal Government and defense agencies automate security operations and threat detection.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities
In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:
- Design enterprise: Design enterprise endpoint detection, XDR telemetry, and SOAR automation architectures.
- Deliver hands-on: Deliver hands-on demonstrations showcasing real-time malware containment and automated playbooks.
- Collaborate with: Collaborate with federal government security directors to align with Essential Eight and ISM controls.
- Author technical: Author technical architectural responses for federal government procurements.
Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience
To be successful in this position at Palo Alto Networks Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:
- Mandatory Qualification: Palo Alto Networks PCNSE / PCDRA Certified.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
- 5+ years technical pre-sales architecture experience in endpoint security, EDR, or SOAR.
- Certifications such as PCDRA, PCNSE, or CISSP.
- Hold or be eligible to obtain Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 or baseline).

- Competitive Remuneration: AU$170,000 – AU$215,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
- Remuneration $170,000 – $215,000 + attractive sales incentive plan + super.
