WiseTech Global in Alexandria is hiring a Senior C# Software Engineer to build high-volume EDI messaging engines for international air and ocean cargo.

WiseTech Global is seeking an experienced Senior C# / .NET Software Engineer to join our CargoWise integration team in Alexandria, Sydney. You will engineer ultra-high-speed Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) translation engines processing millions of customs declarations and shipping manifests daily.

As a key member of the team at WiseTech Global in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Develop high-performance: Develop high-performance parsing and transformation engines for UN/EDIFACT, ANSI X12, and XML formats.
• Write highly: Write highly optimized, thread-safe asynchronous C# code minimizing memory allocation.
• Profile and: Profile and tune complex SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and table partition schemes.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with international customs compliance specialists to implement regulatory cross-border updates.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at WiseTech Global, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 5+ years commercial experience building mission-critical backend systems in C# / .NET.
• Deep expertise in relational database optimization (SQL Server) and concurrency.
• Strong understanding of algorithmic time and space complexity.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$155,000 – AU$190,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary $155,000 – $190,000 + WiseTech equity share schemes + super.
