Monash University is seeking a visionary Academic Director to lead the Office of Learning and Teaching, driving academic governance and TEQSA compliance.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead university-wide: Lead university-wide curriculum reviews and quality assurance frameworks.
• Ensure full: Ensure full compliance with Higher Education Standards Framework (TEQSA).
• Direct initiatives: Direct initiatives incorporating digital learning, AI pedagogy, and authentic assessment.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with Faculty Deans to elevate student retention and learning outcomes.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Monash University, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Doctoral Degree & Significant Higher Education Governance Experience.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Doctoral degree with extensive academic leadership experience in a university setting.
• Expert knowledge of TEQSA regulatory requirements and course accreditation processes.
• Proven track record leading pedagogical transformation and curriculum reform.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$170,000 – AU$200,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Executive package $170,000 – $200,000 plus 17% employer superannuation.
