Northern Star is seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist in Kalgoorlie to design diamond drilling programs and discover next-generation gold reserves.

Northern Star Resources is recruiting a Senior Exploration Geologist to join our Kalgoorlie Exploration team exploring world-class Archaean gold systems.

As a key member of the team at Northern Star Resources in Kalgoorlie, WA, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Design, manage,: Design, manage, and execute multi-rig diamond and RC drilling campaigns targeting high-grade gold mineralization.
• Log diamond: Log diamond drill core, map structural features, and interpret complex hydrothermal alteration zones.
• Construct 3D: Construct 3D geological and structural models using Leapfrog Geo.
• Manage QA/QC: Manage QA/QC assay validation and prepare JORC-compliant exploration reports.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Northern Star Resources, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geology.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• BSc (Honours) or MSc in Geology.
• Minimum 5 years exploration experience in orogenic gold deposits.
• Expertise in Leapfrog 3D modeling and geological interpretation.

At Northern Star Resources, we understand that our people drive our achievements. An outstanding remuneration and wellbeing package is provided in line with Australian benchmarks:

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$140,000 – AU$175,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Package $140,000 – $175,000 + annual incentive bonus + super.
• Residential Kalgoorlie living with generous housing allowance or 8:6 FIFO from Perth.
