AGL Energy is hiring a Wind Asset Maintenance Engineer to oversee turbine mechanical reliability and high-voltage grid connections in regional Victoria.

AGL Energy is seeking a dedicated Wind Farm Asset Maintenance Engineer to optimize turbine availability across utility-scale wind farms in Western Victoria.

As a key member of the team at AGL Energy in Ballarat, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Analyze wind: Analyze wind turbine SCADA telemetry, oil condition logs, and vibration spectra to predict failures.
• Manage preventative: Manage preventative and corrective maintenance contracts with OEM turbine manufacturers (Vestas/GE).
• Lead high-voltage: Lead high-voltage substation maintenance inspections and compliance audits.
• Implement reliability-centered: Implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies to maximize energy generation.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at AGL Energy, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years engineering experience in wind farm operations or power generation assets.
• Working at heights certification and GWO safety training (or willing to obtain).

At AGL Energy, we understand that our people drive our achievements. An outstanding remuneration and wellbeing package is provided in line with Australian benchmarks:

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$130,000 – AU$160,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Base salary $130,000 – $160,000 + 11.5% super + company vehicle.
