WiseTech Global is hiring a Lead C#/.NET Software Engineer in Alexandria to develop high-volume transaction engines for CargoWise logistics.

WiseTech Global is seeking a Lead Software Development Engineer to join our core engineering teams in Alexandria, developing mission-critical logistics software modules.

As a key member of the team at WiseTech Global in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead end-to-end: Lead end-to-end architecture and coding of mission-critical logistics software modules in C# and .NET Core.
• Optimize extreme: Optimize extreme database throughput and query plans on multi-terabyte SQL Server databases.
• Deconstruct complex: Deconstruct complex customs, tariffs, and international trade regulatory frameworks into elegant code algorithms.
• Enforce rigorous: Enforce rigorous test-driven development (TDD) and peer code reviews.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at WiseTech Global, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 7+ years writing high-performance enterprise code in C# and .NET.
• Deep proficiency in relational database internals, indexing, and SQL tuning.
• Strong computer science fundamentals: memory management, multi-threading, and algorithms.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$170,000 – AU$215,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Attractive salary package of $170,000 – $215,000 + equity share scheme + super.
