Epworth Richmond is hiring a Nurse Unit Manager to lead a 32-bed acute cardiac and telemetry inpatient ward.

Epworth Richmond invites an accomplished clinical leader to step into the role of Nurse Unit Manager for our 32-bed Cardiac and Telemetry Unit.

As a key member of the team at Epworth HealthCare in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Direct overall: Direct overall ward operations, resource allocation, and daily clinical nursing rosters.
• Manage operational: Manage operational department budgets and key performance metrics.
• Lead patient: Lead patient safety initiatives and accreditation readiness audits.
• Foster an: Foster an inspiring learning culture through performance appraisals and coaching.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Epworth HealthCare, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Master of Health Administration or Advanced Nursing.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Substantial clinical background in Cardiac, CCU, or Intensive Care nursing.
• Demonstrated experience in ward management or clinical leadership.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$125,000 – AU$145,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration package $125,000 – $145,000 + 11.5% super + management allowances.

• Leave Entitlements: 4 weeks annual leave (with 17.5% annual leave loading where applicable) plus 10 days paid personal/carer’s leave.
